Admin Associate 

 

Commissary Connect is all about helping local food thrive. We own and operate three shared, commercial kitchen facilities, a food cart and a pop-up retail/café space in Vancouver designed to serve diverse, small scale food businesses. We offer customized access to facilities, core equipment and hands on training and expertise. Our members become part of a connected, entrepreneurial community. We continually innovate to leverage our technology platform to create efficiencies across all business areas.

 

We are looking for these qualities and experience:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite programs 

  • Experience with database and customer relationship management software is an asset 

  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills  

  • Pays attention to detail and is well-organized  

  • Ability to take direction and supervision  

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills  

  • Must be able to plan and look ahead, anticipating timelines and deliverables; to work independently and with supervision 

  • Ability to multi task and prioritize conflicting demands within tight deadlines  

  • Ability to thrive in a flexible, ever-changing office environment  

  • Comfortable with change  

  • Experience and ability to provide excellent customer service  

  • Must possess a valid drivers’ license and access to a vehicle 

 

The Role:

  • Responsible Commissary Connect member applicant process including response to inquiries, scheduling tours for the team, follow-up with potential members, and communication with team 

  • Contract creation, collecting required documents, Commissary Connect system updates, communication to local health authorities of kitchen tenant changes. 

  • Management of monthly invoicing process, including creation of fines/charges, invoice generation and distribution of invoices, and responding to related member queries 

  • PA to CEO  

  • Working with QA and Kitchen Manager to enforce a high level of food safety in the facilities 

  • Brand Ambassador for Commissary Connect. 

  • Other projects as assigned.

 

Hours:  

  • Part time – 15 hours per week Monday – Thursday

 

Experience required: 

  • Two years recent related experience in a fast-paced complex office setting, ideally with a small business
